Registered Orthopedic
Technologist ("ROT") Certification is HERE!
TheAmerican Society of Orthopedic
Professionals is
now awarding the professional title, Registered Orthopedic Technologist,
R.O.T., after completion of our new online examination.
This exam is focused on office-based
orthopedic procedures. If you are doing casting & bracing, you should
consider becoming a Registered Orthopedic Technologist. The exam is
free to all ASOP members and is given online without loss of work
time or travel expenses.
Upon joining ASOP, you will have one year to
complete the exam. ASOP will provide you with a free, two-hundred
page, orthopedic study guide.
Having an organization where all members have
passed a professional examination is an ASOP goal. This allows us to speak with
a louder voice as we talk to state legislative representatives about licensure
for Orthopedic Technologists. Without state licensure Orthopedic Technologists
cannot advance within the ranks of allied medical professions. Your joining ASOP
and becoming a Registered Orthopedic Technologist will help ensure your future
career goals.
