Nominations for Orthopedic Allied Professional of the Year
Tony Mandese, P.A.
Mr. Mandese started his medical career as a medic serving in the Vietnam War. He attended physician assistant school at Touro College in New York City. He served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala and in Cuban refugee camps during the Marielita immigration episode before becoming lead orthopedic PA at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, New York. He remains at that position giving care to the poorest of New Yorkers and helping train new orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic allied professionals.
