This online exam is focused on orthopedic procedures, orthopedic terminology and patient safety.    If you are doing casting & bracing, you should consider becoming a Registered Orthopedic Technologist. The exam is free to all ASOP members and is given online without loss of work time or travel expenses.

Upon joining ASOP, you are eligible to take the ROT exam at no-charge IF you meet exam requirements of one year of casting experience under the supervision of a physician.  ASOP will provide you with an online two-hundred page, orthopedic study guide and other online study materials.   You have through the term of your ASOP membership to challenge the ROT exam.

Having an organization where all members have passed a professional examination is an ASOP goal.
