Application Process for Registered Orthopedic Technologist, ROT certification exam

NOTE: All requests will be verified prior to exam access – membership must be in good standing

Please see the following information below before processing your application ….

If you have not attended an ASOP Casting Workshop, you are required to have one (1) year experience in casting under the direction of a Physician. There are certain exemptions from this pre-requisite such as graduation or attendance at:

• Orthopedic Technology Program
• Sports Medicine Program
• Athletic Training Program

OR

• Certification as an Orthotic Fitter or Orthotist

OR

• Six months experience under the supervision of an ROT or OPE

If you meet any of the exemptions, please attach proof to your application. A current ROT/OTC or OPE may sign-off on your application in place of a Physician.
